Overview
This First Aid Awareness course is an introductory and refresher course that covers the basics of first aid in Australia. It covers basic steps on how to perform CPR, along with a range of other advice to do with accident and medical emergency responses including how to conduct a primary survey of a casualty, and how to respond to medical emergencies such as shock, electrocution, heart attacks and physical injuries. Please note: this is an awareness course only and is not a substitute for face-to-face first aid training, or for training in cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR). It is only intended to raise your awareness of how to respond to accidents and injuries.

This course is designed to provide employees and employers with a general knowledge of basic principles and practices relating to first aid training in Australia. It is intended to be used as a general awareness and refresher course to encourage awareness of basic first aid practices in the workplace.
Learning Outcome
On successful completion of this course employees will have the necessary information to be able to provide basic first aid response to accidents and medical emergencies.
